![]() For BC Paladins tanking they picked up strength/tanking plate for survivability, and a spell power main hand for threat generation as the majority of a paladin's threat came from spell damage and they didn't have the AP to SP modifier that they introduced in WotLK. ![]() For BC, they fixed that, but Warriors still had the best survivability and best single target threat as threat was built into the attacks and not general outgoing damage. In Vanilla, there was only 1 set of tier, not a different set for every spec, and every Heals capable class has tier gear with healing bonus'. I didn't know personally in Vanilla, because i followed the general assumption all Druids and Paladins were healers because Warriors were the be all and end all of Tanks.Īs far as i recall, in TBC Paladins still had to pick up a spellpower mace to help with their Holy threat, perhaps their Holy Damage = Threat also played a big part in things, since they were definitely lacking in the holy offensive for that. That was a big for it. Probably the lack of designated Tank gear, along with their Class Talents/Mechanics not functioning adequately.
